Theme Restaurants: Alcatraz ER in Shibuya

If you go to Tokyo, you will notice that it is full of Izakaya and themed restaurants. One of the first and still one of the most original, is the Alcatraz ER.

Located in the popular and busy district of Shibuya, Alcatraz ER is a mixture of the infamous U.S. prison and a psychiatric hospital.

Upon entering, you will find that you landed in a place unique in the world for both environments and choreographic dishes.

At the entrance there is a counter with a nice lady who makes you sit at the table, but before she’ll show you a control panel where you have to select your blood type, just like in a hospital clinic.

All the waitress are dressed as nurses and, for the joy of men, they are very sexy.

The attractive nurse will take you to handcuffs in your prison and you will be locked inside through a grate.

Along the way, you can get an idea of how you will spend your time inside Alcatraz ER : the bar is transformed into medical laboratory in which doctors are the cooks and there are crumbling hospital corridors.

While you are in your cell, waiting for your dinner, you can enjoy the walls “embellished” with skulls and dancing skeletons.

The menu features dishes with rather bizarre names. Do not be fooled by appearances beyond the names, it is quite common dishes, also present in other restaurants. But, of course, Alcatraz ER is not for the food!

Ah, do not expect to eat the food and drink in glasses: without leaving much to the imagination, the dishes are presented with obscene sexual innuendo, on metal trays same as those used in the operating room or in dishes shaped like a emptied skull .

For the more daring ones, the drink can be ordered in one of the many mannequin heads from which you will suck through a straw, like drinking the brain!

Alternatively, if you are too emotional, you can order a regular drink that will be strictly poured into the glass through a drip or a syringe, or, if you prefer a mug of beer will be brought to the table in a parrot (like a medical-hospital, of ourse).
