Harajuku, a fashion center in Shibuya

Harajuku, just north of Shibuya, is the number one fashion center of young Japanese, where on a normal Sunday you can find a lot of faddish, fun and crazy varieties of dress styles.

Stores offering street fashion items for young people can be found in Harajuku while stylish cafes are located in Omotesando.

In Aoyama, there are many luxury brand stores and museums.

You will find the Takeshita Street at east of JR Harajuku Station, a busy spot with many youth-oriented stores mainly for teenagers to those in their early 20s.

At the same time however, its western part that holds Yoyogi Park and Meiji Shrine is filled with a tranquil atmosphere with many trees.

Omotesando and Aoyama both are completely stylish towns and the Omotesando Hills is gathering lots of attention as the new feature of Omotesando.

On a Sunday, Omotesando Dori Avenue is littered with street performers, at the end of it, you can find Aoyama, the stylish area full of expensive shops and boutiques.

For yet more Sunday street entertainment head up to Yoyogi Park. It’s close to Harajuku Station. The NHK Broadcasting Plaza is just opposite.

A lot of Japanese teenagers gather with like-minded friends in Harajuku to engage in cosplay.
